A trailblazing feminist, Castellanos challenged societal norms, questioned social class structures, and shed light on the invisibilization of Indigenous communities. With sharp irony and an unwavering inquiry into power, gender, and privilege, she left behind words that remain as urgent today as when they were first written.

“By questioning the place we occupy in the world, we open the possibility of changing reality.” – Rosario Castellanos

In this performance, her reflections come to life through the performers’ movements, resonant voices, live music, and visual projections—creating a dynamic landscape of images and sensations inspired by Rosario’s echoes. This work is a living interpretation of her relentless search for truth:

“Let us remember until justice sits among us.”

– Rosario Castellanos

DRIVE

Choreography and performance:

Carla Alcantara

DRIVE is a contemporary dance performance that evocatively explores themes of human resilience, responsibility, and the relentless pursuit of both personal and collective goals. The choreography reflects on the inner drive that compels us to keep moving forward, incorporating motivational practices as symbols of the desire to "hold the reins" and shape one's journey.

It delves into the weight of decision-making and the challenges that come with taking responsibility for one's path.

How can childhood games inspire and empower us to deal with the pressures, expectations  and responsibilities of adulthood? INTERWEAVE, a high energy physical theatre and contemporary dance duet, embraces the importance of play, laughter, and imagination in daily life. Collaboratoring artist-educators Carla Alcántara and Kaili Che believe that hard work and play can exist in tandem and they invite audiences to join them in a participatory, interactive experience of this possibility. Especially after the pandemic, couldn’t you use a little inspiration and empowerment? Ease into a light-hearted exploration that might just resonate on a deeper level.

accionando vectores

A multidisciplinary work between dance, installation and video mapping.

Accionando Vectores offers a reflection on the magic and visible beauty of the details that surround us every day that we often do not see.  It is a piece of self-reflection that inspires the rediscovery of ourselves and the space that surrounds us, using the beauty of nature as inspiration that transforms the ephemeral scene of life through choreography and the exploration of  video projection.

This work emerges as an extension of the dance film  "Ephimeral Architecture" created in 2020.
